Based on locations that the performer’s ancestors have moved through – Japan, Hawaii, the American West, and the Eastern Sierras – this piece looks to the natural world to explore lineage, hybridity, and history .Pulling from folk music, pop culture, and spiritual beliefs, this piece is comprised of four contemporary folk stories.

It is comprised of four chapters, each corresponding to a different season.

The locations, events, and songs serve as bridges to the those who came before us and to honor their continued life through us.
